This guide walks you through everything you need to know to get the most out of Report Shield — from your first login to submitting your first reviewed report.

Report Shield requires two-factor authentication on every account.
On your first login you will be prompted to set up an authenticator app. This is a one-time setup that takes about 2 minutes.
Important: Save your authenticator app. If you get a new phone, you will need to re-enroll MFA. Contact support@reportshield.app if you are locked out.
A quick tour of what each panel does.

What to paste, what not to paste, and how to get the best results.
CRITICAL — Read before your first analysis: Do not paste NCIC returns, LEADS query results, criminal history records, rap sheets, or any data from a law enforcement database. Report Shield is for your written narrative observations only. CJIS certification is pending.
Best results tip: The more complete your narrative, the better the analysis. A full draft with all facts gives the AI more to work with than bullet points or partial notes.
The most important step — your review and approval.
After analysis, navigate through the panels using the sidebar. Start with Objectivity and work through each panel. When you are ready to use the final rewritten report:
You are always responsible. Checking the approval box means you have personally verified the content. If anything in the rewrite does not match your recollection of events, correct it before submitting. Never submit output you have not read and verified.
